Walk to Queens hill

At the top of the list for budget things I could do in Queenstown was this walk. Although a little steep at the beginning, it does get better and even my dear friend Louise, who in her own words doesn't 'do' hills, managed it.  In a couple of hours we had admired the view, sat in a basket sculpture (I know, aren't we just too crazy), had some cheese sandwiches and took photos for strangers.

I also got to use my amazing walking boots. They are probably the most expensive footwear I've ever bought but worth every penny.  No blisters, no hard skin, no worries!

So pretty! My boyfriend didn't fully enjoy his time in NZ (travel with parents), so he's always raining on my "I want to go to NZ!" parade. Maybe I should just leave him at home because these photos are gorgeous! I won't make the age cut off for a working-holiday visa, but I'll have to figure out a way to get there at some point. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying your posts.

Also, I visit your blog via a reader so I'm not sure how long the polaroids have been up in your sidebar, but I love them!

Thank you Jill! You should definitely visit nz, I mean, you're so close in oz! I can't wait to see more of this country but as we need to save some dosh, it's queenstown for now. Of the two working holiday visas you probably picked the best - wages here are lower and the price of living a little higher. Plus you can travel both islands in about 4 weeks.

P.s Polaroids have been up a while. Glad you like them, it took me ages!
